Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), International Youth Internship Program CIDA is Canada's lead agency for development assistance. CIDA's International Youth Internship Program gives young Canadian postsecondary graduates the opportunity to apply their knowledge, gain international work experience and develop skills in various sectors. Interns are placed for at least six months with Canadian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and host organizations in developing countries.

Defence for Children International Defence for Children International (DCI) is an independent non-governmental organization that promotes and protects the rights of children. DCI's International Secretariat in Geneva represents the movement at the international level and develops programs and projects that promote child rights. DCI offers internship opportunities at its International Secretariat on a volunteer basis.

International Bureau for Children's Rights The International Bureau for Children's Rights (IBCR) is an international non-governmental organization. IBCR's mission is to contribute to the protection and promotion of children's rights worldwide. IBCR provides internships for students at its office in Montréal. Internships have a minimum length of 12 weeks and are on a volunteer basis.

Right To Play is an athlete-driven international humanitarian organization. It uses specially designed sport and play programs as a tool for the development of children and youth in the most disadvantaged areas of the world. Right To Play recruits International Volunteers to work in projects in Asia and Africa for 12 months. Volunteers do not need to be elite athletes but do need to demonstrate a belief in the best values of sport.

United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) UNICEF is a United Nations organization that works all over the world to save, protect and enhance the lives of children. Its internship program offers university students the opportunity to acquire direct practical experience in UNICEF's work under the direct supervision of experienced staff at UNICEF's headquarters in New York or at country offices. The internships are on a volunteer basis and last for 6 to 16 weeks.

World Literacy of Canada (WLC) is a non-profit voluntary organization that promotes international development and social justice. WLC supports community-based programs that emphasize adult literacy and non-formal education for both children and adults. WLC provides overseas placements for young postsecondary graduates through its internship program.
